Happy 1st Birthday, Aiden!

Aiden is 1 year old!  He was delighted that his wonderful big sisters came to celebrate with him.  He is especially grateful for all the beautiful cards and gifts his family sent... THANK YOU all!  We started off with his official first cupcake.  After a few moments of trepidation, Aiden discovered that yellow cake and vanilla frosting (with blue sprinkles) is a likeable creation!  We have yet to master the concept of a plate...

After a thorough wipedown and a shirt change, we hit the gift pile!  The cards all had fun, smiling faces on them!  Ciala and Lauren helped deliver a quick refresher course on Unwrapping 101, a program they originally taught him at Christmas.  He got the hang of it and dug in to his new toys and clothes.  We all had a blast with our favorite 1-year-old boy!

Movers and Shakers

Aiden has taken to rearranging the furniture in the house.  We're pretty sure that he lacks an eye for feng shui--he seems to build challenging obstacle courses rather than arrange comfortable living spaces. He sure takes his job seriously, though!  Please call if you need any heavy lifting done around your place... we have the man for you!

Dog Days, Kona Kisses

For all her initial indifference towards him, Kona has decided that Aiden is actually a pretty fun little guy.  Aiden is thrilled, as he has always tried to get the attention of "Ko-Ka".  Other than Daddy coming home in the evening, playing outside with Kona is the highlight of Aiden's day.  He is getting used to her many kisses, and understanding that (like him) she is loving, but not always gentle.  I have a feeling these two mischievous pals are going to become partners in crime very, very soon!
